Mamoswine was the first Pokemon Eric Young received as a Swinub. EY and Mamoswine have been the best of buddies since day one, same goes for his Lickilicky as well. Despite being lower in level than everyone else's beginning Pokemon, Mamoswine is pretty strong and has good fighting spirit. Mamoswine's personality differs every day; he's in between smart and dumb. He has days where he's smart and has days where he has no clue what's going on.

Trivia
- Since the day he got them, EY has never put Mamoswine or Lickilicky into their Pokeballs (except for a few times). It causes problems due to Mamoswine's size, but it doesn't bother EY. He does get a lot of complaints while traveling that he should put his Pokemon in his Pokeballs though.
- Because of Mamoswine's never-ending appetite, there's been a running gag since Season 1 that involves him stealing other Pokemon's food when they're not looking. EY doesn't mind because he knows Mamoswine can't help it (or so he thinks).
- During EY's "Super Eric" gimmick in Season 1, Swinub as one of his Pokemon sidekicks went by the name of "Swine Wonder".
- On EY's fishing show Off The Hook: Extreme Catches, both Mamoswine and Lickilicky are often seen traveling with him and helping him out with catching fish.
